STEM Day: Co-ops and internships at TextNow

TextNow loves to find talent and help them grow. That's why we have our Co-Op program in Canada (in partnership with the University of Waterloo,) and why in summer 2022 we're launching our Internship Program in the US as well. We hope to attract STEM students within Canada and the US to jump into technical engineering, learn our platform (Web, iOS, Android, or QA), and gain professional development through our program.

We are proud to celebrate National STEM Day on November 8th to spread awareness to helping students advance in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. While we tend to go heavy on the technical engineering, we also love to show off our artistic side --- our design team helps our product come to life through building out beautiful design elements and marketing materials to spread the word about TextNow.

But don't just take out word for it, hear it from our own past interns instead:

‍Alyssa Fung joined TextNow as a marketing intern in summer 2021 and quickly worked her way into a full-time role. She uses her design and marketing expertise to build out our social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, and more.)

We're building out a pretty amazing program for our STEM C0-op and Intern students. Not only focusing on mentorship within their area (engineering or design) but also teaching the foundation blocks of business. We understand students might not have had the professional experience --- so we enable them through our Onboarding Functions meeting (they meet with every function within the company to learn about which each one does), Slack 101 sessions to teach our main communication tool and best practices, and more.
